Set-point generators

See the set-point generator selection guide...

Analogue set-point

This range of units provide a current (mA), voltage or pulse output, the magnitude of which is controlled either by a front panel control, a remotely mounted potentiometer or may be a fixed set-point.

B12-1 Series set-point generators

These units provide a current, voltage or pulse output, the magnitude of which is controlled by:

  • B12-1A -a front of module mounted multi-turn dial (illustrated).
  • B12-1RP -a remote set-point with the set-point potentiometer and dial supplied loose for remote mounting e.g. in a control panel or enclosure door or
  • B12-1F -a fixed output which is internally set to the level required.

Wall or DIN rail mounting.

Set-point generator type 107-1A

107-1 Series set-point generators

Available for spares, additions and replacements for existing applications.

  • 107-1A -a front of module mounted dial (illustrated).
  • 107-1RP -a remote set-point supplied loose for remote mounting
  • 107-1F -a fixed output type.

For the description see the latest versions - the B12-1 Series set-point generators above.

Set-point generator type 107-1A

112-52 Signal generator

Provides a pulsed output signal for testing, simulation and other applications requiring a variable set-point frequency. The set-point control is either a front panel mounted multi-turn dial or a set-point potentiometer and multi-turn dial supplied loose for remote mounting.
Wall or DIN rail mounting.

Pulse Generator Type 112-53
Digital raise - lower set-point (ramped output)

112-65s Raise - Lower (set-point)

A versatile programmable instrument which, configured as a Raise Lower Unit (set-point generator), provides a scaleable ramped output signal. Control of the output signal is provided by three inputs; Raise, Lower and Reset. Optional PC software provides user selection of all functions except output signal rise and fall times which are user selectable by internal switches. See datasheet for full details. Wall or DIN rail mounting.

Ramp generator

112-65s Ramp generator

Configured as a Ramp Generator this unit provides a scaleable ramped output signal controlled by three inputs; Start, Stop and Reset. The ramp signal may be set to:

  • Low to High
  • High to Low
  • Low to High to Low
  • High to Low to High
In each case the ramp may be set to free running or 'one-shot' mode. Optional PC software provides user selection of all functions except output signal rise and fall times which are user selectable by internal switches. Wall or DIN rail mounting.

High / low signal selectors

112-20A Low selector, 112-21A High selector

These instruments will provide an output which is equal to, or proportional to, the highest (112-21A) or the lowest (112-20A) of up to six input signals. The output can be converted into a signal of a different type.
Wall or DIN rail mounting.

Analogue comparator

112-22A Comparator

Compares two input signals and provides a relay output which changes state when the signals differ by an amount set by a front panel control. Two relays each provide one change-over and one normally open contact. One relay operates when input A is greater than input B, the other when input B is greater than input A. Wall or DIN rail mounting.

Analogue comparator Type 112-22A

Status signal long distance transmission

COM-60 Status transmitter, COM-61 Status receiver

Provides a solution for long-distance transmission of a switched state, e.g. a high / low alarm, over telecom lines where a copper connection is unavailable. The Transmitter accepts either open-collector, volt-free contact or voltage change type inputs and converts off/on states into 400Hz/2000Hz tones for transmission. The Receiver converts the transmitted tones into a relay output (SPCO).
Wall or DIN rail mounting.

Status signal transmitter and receiver

Analogue signal long distance transmission

COM-70 Analogue transmitter, COM-71 Analogue receiver

Provides a solution for long-distance transmission of an analogue signal (4-20mA or 1-5V) over telecom lines where a copper connection is unavailable. The Transmitter converts the analogue input into 400-2000Hz sinewave signal. The Receiver converts the transmitted tones into a 4-20mA signal. Wall or DIN rail mounting.

Rate limiters

B12-17 Series rate limiters

Provide a range of isignal conditioners for controlling the rate of change (e.g. signal damping) of a process signal. These units may also provide signal conversion. The time constant is adjustable by a front panel mounted dial.
Wall or DIN rail mounting.

107-17 Series rate limiters

Available for spares, additions and replacements for existing applications.

For the description see the latest versions - the B12 Series rate limiters above.

Rate limiter Type 107-17

Rate of change monitor

B12-18 Signal conditioner (rate of change monitor)

Provides an output signal, with a magnitude proportional to the rate of change of the input signal. The output signal can be configured to indicate decreases as well as increases in the rate of change of the process variable.
Wall or DIN rail mounting.

Rate of change monitor Type 107-18

107-18 Signal conditioner (rate of change monitor)

Available for spares, additions and replacements for existing applications.

For the description see the latest version - the B12 Series Rate of Change Monitor above.

Rate of change monitor Type 107-18

Status to analogue converter

112-61s Status to analogue converter

Provides an analogue output which is proportional to the number of active inputs. Each unit will accept up to five inputs but multiple units (current output) may be connected in parallel. The number of input signals required for full scale output is set by internal switches. Wall or DIN rail mounting.

Status to analogue converter Type 112-61s

BCD to analogue converters

116-24A BCD to analogue converter

Accepts up to four decades of BCD data and converts to a proportional analogue signal. This unit is programmable for input range for FSD and output signal range and type. The input range for full scale may be set anywhere between 0 - 9999. The output signal may be set to either 0-10mA, 0-20mA, 2-10mA, 4-20mA, 0-1V, 0-5V, 0-10V, 0.2-1.0V, 1-5V or 2-10V. Also provides a trickle-charging output for battery-powered optical encoders.
Wall mounting.
