Signal Converter |
A range of units
which convert from one form of signal to another. e.g. current to current,
current to voltage, voltage to voltage, voltage to current, resistance to
current or voltage, PRT to current or voltage, milli-volt to current or
voltage. Input and output are isolated. |

Integrator |
Or Voltage/current to
Frequency Converter, this unit will convert a voltage or current input signal
into pulses with respect to time; the pulse rate being proportional to the
magnitude of the input signal. |

Square root Integrator |
Converts an analogue signal
(voltage or current) into pulses with respect to time. The pulse rate is
proportional to the square root of the magnitude of the analogue signal.
This instrument may be used for
continuous integration of rate signals where the variable measured
is the square of the unknown quantity. With the addition of an external
counter, continuous totalisation may be recorded. A typical application would
be to record total volume through a pipeline where the flowrate is measured
with a DP transmitter (differential pressure is proportional to the
flow-rate2). |

Controller |
This unit provides
the continuous controller element of a process control loop and offers switch
selectable Proportional or Proportional plus Integral modes. The remote
analogue set-point version can provide a slave unit for cascade applications. |

Signal Selector |
This unit selects one out of 12
current or voltage input signals. The output from the unit is voltage only.
Current loops are maintained on circuits not selected. Inputs are selected with
a 12 position rotary switch. The Signal Selector may be used for selecting
one of many inputs for a read-out display or chart recorder etc. |

Pulse Generator |
The 160-52 provides a pulsed
output signal for testing, simulation and other applications requiring switched
set-point frequencies. Up to five set-points are provided as standard and are
selected by a rotary switch on the front of the instrument. The output signal
may be put on hold by a remote output inhibit signal. |
